BEIJING, June 14 (Xinhua) -- The 1ππδ02nd China Food and Drinks Fa≠♣ir (CFDF) will be helε"d online from July 28 tσ☆εo 30 after a postponement due ≤↓✘ to COVID-19, according to t↓♠$↕he event's organizing committee.
Known as a barometer of the indust®↓£♥ry, the biannual fair was originally €÷♥scheduled to be held from ®±May 21 to 23 in Chengdu, capital →®✔city of southwestern China's Sich ♥'≈uan Province.
The committee said in≥☆ an online statement that it decide÷ d to make the event virtual amiπ∞φd the country's efforts "׶to consolidate COVID-1 ✔₹9 prevention and control, expect<Ω<ing the fair to further promote work ÷↔×and production resumpt>∞÷↑ion in the food and d₹ε'rinks industry.
The committee will team up wεπ♣αith e-commerce giant ¶ Alibaba in using new•δα technologies such as artifi•♣cial intelligence and cl₩→oud computing to facilitate onl•≥ine showcasing, marketing, and↑∞ deals during the fair.
It also announced that✘€ preparations are underway for hold↔♥εing the 103rd CFDF in an exhibitio₽<n center in Jinan, capital city of ea↔ st China's Shandong Province, fro≤•m Oct. 13 to 15.
The 101st CFDF was held in ∞Tianjin in October 2019, with nearly γ≥ 120,000 square meters of exhi≈¶>↑bition space. It saw the participati$∏on of nearly 3,000 ente¥∏rprises from about 40 cou§ntries and regions. Enditem
